How does the Personal Chef process work?
INITIAL CONTACT:
You make initial contact with me so we can schedule a complimentary, in-home consultation and client assessment. During this initial discussion, I will ask you several brief and preliminary questions that will help me establish what you're looking for in the way of food service. This will also help you determine whether this service is right for you and your family.
COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION:
I arrive at your home on the scheduled day and time to conduct a complimentary consultation where we discuss your general requirements and expectations, food and cuisine preferences, meal packaging methods, general meal frequency, major dietary considerations or challenges, etc. I will also conduct a preliminary kitchen facilities assessment (what equipment you have, condition of facilities, general kitchen layout, etc). This consultation takes roughly 45 minutes. I will also be able to give you a rough estimate of chef's fees and estimated food costs. From there, both parties should be able to decide whether to proceed to the next step.
IN-DEPTH CLIENT ASSESSMENTS AND MENU DEVELOPMENT AND APPROVAL:
Once you have decided to utilize my services, you would contact me to schedule a service date. Please note: A down payment for estimated chef's fees and food costs along with a signed client agreement will be required at this time.
I will send you several detailed questionnaires pertaining to your meal service - this can be done via email, over the phone, or in person. I will use this information to build your customized menu and meal plans. We'll also discuss how you'd like to handle unique ingredients (purchase outright or use from my pantry). Once I understand all your food-related requirements, I'll submit a proposed menu that has been customized specifically for you and your family. After your approval of the menu, we'll need to meet briefly to transact payment of estimated groceries.
SERVICE STARTS:
On the scheduled service date, I will arrive at your house no later than 9:00 a.m. I bring the necessary groceries, supplies, and equipment and will begin food preparation and cooking. I will cook, cool, package, and store your menu items as we discussed. I will also provide detailed reheating instructions and clean up the kitchen, leaving you with a freezer full of delicious food to enjoy at your convenience. Finally, I will leave an invoice for any remaining balance from groceries and/or time needed to complete your service.
FOLLOW UP:
Approximately three days after your service, I'll follow up with you to ensure you're happy with the meals and to get feedback from you on the entire service. I'll also ask if you'd like to schedule another service date.
