The following FAQs pertain to a PERSONAL CHEF
Q. Are you accepting new clients right now?
Yes. You can contact me via email or through the web request located on the contact page.

Q. Do you cook in my kitchen and, if so, why?
Yes. As a personal chef, the food will be of the utmost freshness if prepared, packaged, and frozen in your home. Also, state health laws do not allow me to cook for you out of my home.

Q. Do you use any of my kitchen equipment?
I will need to use your oven, stove, sink, disposal, and dishwasher. Occasionally, I will use your pots and pans. I always use my own knives, utensils, cutting boards, and towels. We will discuss the availability and usage of your smaller appliances (eg: food processor, blender, mixers) during the Client Assessment.

Q. Can I be home while you're cooking?
Certainly. But please keep in mind that food preparation and cooking require intense concentration and a constant awareness of safety and food handling details. I won't be able to chat with you while I'm working because I want to be efficient, focused, and safe in order to complete the job you've hired me to do. Access to your home in your absence will be detailed in our contract.

Q. How long will you be at my house?
That depends on the number of meals you request, their complexity, how you want them packaged, and the type of appliances you have (eg: some ovens cook slower than others). Generally, you can expect that I will be at your house anywhere from three to eight hours.

Q. Is there a contract involved?
A short-term contract, yes. The contract is intended to document what we've both agreed to in terms of meals I've promised you, my hourly rate of pay, payment terms, and the like. The contract very clearly states there is no ongoing or long-term relationship beyond that.
Should you want to use my services again, we would create a new "contract"..

Q. Can my children be in the kitchen with you?
There are inherent risks and dangers being in a kitchen. For that reason I prefer your children not be allowed in the kitchen during times when I'm preparing meals. However, we can arrange fun and informative "cooking classes" that your children can participate in.

Q. When is payment due?
As a personal chef, the estimated chef's fees and grocery costs are due when we schedule the cook date. Any remaining fees are to be paid in full by the end of that evening. In the event of overpayment, I will pay you any balance owing before I leave that night.
